Testing Times for the Ginetta G50
The G50’s extensive test schedule has recently seen the car appear at six circuits over the past six weeks. Valuable data has been collected from Croft, Nogaro, Magny-Cours, Donington, Silverstone and the crew have just returned from Pembrey from a two day exclusive test session.
A UK launch at Donington Park on Thursday October 18th encouraged plenty of attention at the Ginetta garage that has since left just three of the 26 currently available G50 cars remaining to be sold.

Production will continue beyond 26 cars, but no more can be guaranteed in time for the first round of the G50 Championship next year.
Combined with the GT4 test leading up to the 2008 British GT Championship, the day also formed part of the GT3 equalisation test day.
Lawrence Tomlinson and Stewart Linn shared the driving duties on the day – which also saw journalists from DailySportscar.com, Motorsport News and Crash.net have passenger rides in the new car, along with race commentator David Addison.

By the close of play, the Ginetta ran a best time of 1:16.072 – second fastest out of the GT4 cars. The Aston Martin N24 ran a 1:15.789. In comparison, the Ferrari 430 GT3 car’s best time was 1:09.881.
Straight from Donington, the development crew from Ginetta sister company Team LNT moved onto Silverstone and then Pembrey.
“It’s important we get lots of testing done with this new car” said Chief Engineer Simon Finnis. “But not only that, testing on as many circuits as possible is vital as they all have their own characteristics that we can learn from.”
