Ginetta Junior Championship-
Winning Team In G50 Cup for 2008
2007 Ginetta Junior Championship winning team Hepworth International
have secured one of the Ginetta G50 cars destined for the 2008 single-
make Championship.
The Yorkshire-based team who won the Junior championship with Nigel Moore
and were second and third with Nigel and Paul Marsh respectively in the Winter cup are still seeking a driver for what they are hoping to be a two
-car team in 08.
They decided early on to seize the opportunity to acquire
one of the new cars as they anticipated an influx of interest in the G50
cup.
"As soon as we spoke to Richard Dean about the G50 project in the
summer we knew we wanted to be involved in what we see as an exciting and
superb stepping stone to the next level GTs" said Andy Hepworth – one
half of the brother pairing that runs Hepworth International along with
Stephen.
"The potential for the G50s are massive - we want to take it into the
24hr race at Silverstone too so we would like to do some endurance races
leading up to that outside of the G50 Cup" continued Andy.
Prior to the season starting in March at Oulton Park, the Team also plan to
go testing in warmer climates abroad with both the juniors and the cup cars
for the team and drivers to become accustomed to the cars.
Hepworth's have a broad history of sportscar racing including the 24
Hours of Le Mans, Daytona 24 and 12 hours of Sebring.
