Global Ginettas

It’s a busy, exciting time in the Ginetta camp of late.

The Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship and Ginetta G50 Championship have just competed in four weekends out of six so take a well-earned break until June’s Snetterton date but there’s still plenty of Ginetta action about!

This weekend the Ginetta Juniors are back in front of British Touring Cars crowds at Donington, but also 29 cars kick start the 2008 Swedish G20 Championship at Sturup Raceway, Sweden.

Plus Jemco have a G50 out at Brands Hatch A1 GP meeting for their Britcar race - Nick Reynolds, Kevin Hancock and Leigh Smart back at the wheel - and Spanish GT (Campeonato de España de GT) now has a Ginetta G50 in its field from this weekend thanks to the Javier Morcillo team.

Greek racer Konstantinos Kanaroglou and Oliver Campos pilot the car in its Spanish debut at Jarama in the GTB class.

Not only that, but an additional 16 G20s are out at Snetterton on Bank Holiday Monday in the second Club Ginetta meeting.

That’s approximately 70 Ginetta’s, 4 different models, (G20 LHD, G20 RHD, Juniors and G50 GT4) racing in five different events.

And this is just the start of what’s already proving to be an exciting 2008…!
