First G50 Rolls Out

The first Ginetta G50 Cup production car has rolled off of the production line today, 13th February 2008. Most of the Ginetta crew took five minutes out to down tools and get together to mark this milestone in Ginetta’s history book (below).

Six cars will be delivered this week to customers at Mallory Park, Leicestershire during a two-day test at the track (14th/15th February). All of the G50 customer drivers have the opportunity to test one of Ginetta’s factory cars and get a feel for the 300bhp machine. Those first customers who ordered their cars will be able to test as they wish.

The two days also act as a test for Ginetta Junior racers who are mostly on school holidays this week.

Six G50 Cup cars a week will leave the factory to meet the March deadline with the factory operating an evening shift scheme to cope with demand. All 26 produced for the first round of the Championship will be at Croft on March 17th / 18th on two more exclusive Ginetta test days.
