Cassey Watson signs BTCC driver as coach
After a fantastic first year in car racing in 2006 that exceeded all expectations, Cassey Watson is making preperations for 2007 to help achieve some very ambitious goals.
The biggest and most important step in these preperations is the signing of ex Clio Cup champion and BTCC driver Daniel Buxton as driver coach.

"It's all about learning at the moment" said Cassey. "Everytime I take to the track there is something new to think about, with Danny's help I should be prepared for any situation. One thing I have already learned though is that one of the secrets to a very quick lap is confidence, and Danny really knows how to make a driver feel really confident."
Cassey is aiming at, not one, but two championships in 2007 having entered the Junior Ginetta championship as well as returning to the 750mc's SAXMAX championship.
"My first goal is for a podium in Ginetta" continued the young driver. "That will make me the first driver to finish on the podium in all 3 junior categories, then to win my first race, as my best result is currently 2nd in TCAR, hopefully later in the season I may need to make a return to the TCAR to try and become the first driver to win a race in all 3."
Daniel Buxton said, "I am really excited to be involved with Cassey's development as a racing driver in 2007, I knew immediately from the first time we took to the track that this was a driver with the talent to go all the way. Even more important though is her attitude, she is singleminded in her ambition to reach the IRL and willing to work extremely hard to achieve it."
