LNT Automotive launch into 2007 at Autosport International

LNT Automotive will be once again among the hundreds of motorsport exhibitors descending upon Birmingham’s NEC for the world’s largest motorsport exhibition from January 11th-14th in 2007.
The stand - number 8340 - will be even bigger and better than in 2006 with special guests, events and announcements throughout the show.
During the two trade-only days, Team LNT will be unveiling plans for 2007 on the Thursday, whilst on Friday, sister-company Ginetta will launch their 2007 championships.
Throughout the open-for-all weekend, visitors to the show will be able to get up close and personal with special guests, plus get a closer look at the 2006 24hour Le Mans class-winning Panoz Esperante. Accompanying the Panoz will be a junior and senior car from the Ginetta family of British sportscars.
The four-day LNT Automotive extravaganza will begin at 10am on the 11th as Team LNT announce the drivers who will compete in the Team’s two entries into the 2007 24 hour Le Mans race.
Furthermore, drivers competing for championship honours will be announced along with the Team’s official racing calendar for the year. A partnership with a new race suit manufacturer will be announced and the 2007 drivers will be showing off their new kit.
Panoz Auto Developments President Dan Panoz will be flying in from Panoz headquarters in Georgia, USA for the 1pm Le Mans Celebrations. The champagne will be flowing as Team LNT celebrate their 2006 GT2 win in the world’s most prestigious race. The Team’s race winning drivers, Lawrence Tomlinson, Richard Dean and Tom Kimber-Smith will lead the celebrations and displaying the Le Mans trophies.
On Friday 12th at 11.45am, Commentator David Addison will be launching the 2007 Ginetta Junior Championship including race dates and new-for-2007 prizes.
2006 Championship top-three racers James Harrison, Jordan Williams and Henry Surtees will also be officially awarded their trophies in reward for their efforts throughout the season. These young talented drivers will then form a team for the charity karting event taking place on the indoor kart circuit later that day.
David will then return at 1pm to announce the all-new 2007 Ginetta Senior Championship. Details of an exciting new title sponsor for the Championship will be released taking the series a huge step forward for 2007 with race dates on the F3/GT, TOCA and A1GP packages. The new sponsor will also enable Ginetta to deliver upgraded prize packages for the season.
The top three 2006 winners Stuart Linn, David Devine and Julian Barrett are to officially receive their trophies on the stand.
Immediately afterwards, LNT Automotive are to welcome World Rally Championship driver Alister McRae and Former British and American Rally Champion David Higgins on the stand as Ginetta cars unveils dates for the new-for 2007 Ginetta cup, running as part of the BTRDA. David joins us just prior to what will be his first outing in the new Ginetta G20 GTRS rally car later in January with LNT Automotive Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson.
At 3.30pm Tom Kimber-Smith will return to stand number 8340 with 2006 British GT team-mate Luke Hines to celebrate their successes. The strong driver pairing were able to take their Championship Challenge to the Ferrari of Scuderia Ecosse down to the final race in only their first Sportscar season.
Formula 1 television pundit Tony Jardine will make a special appearance on the Friday to sign autographs and share his experience of motorsport and driving the Ginetta celebrity car in 2006.
Current Cosmopolitan Girl’s Woman of the Year Jade Edwards will be present throughout Saturday 13th. Jade won the magazine’s award in the ‘Risk-Taking Category’ in late 2006 as a result of her efforts racing in the Playstation Ginetta Junior race series.
