Awards for Cassey Watson
Evesham racing driver Cassey Watson was named 750mc Female Club Champion last weekend at the annual awards ceremony held at The Hilton, Warwick. She received the Anne Clayton Memorial Trophy as the highest points scoring female in any championship run by the 750 Motor Club. This is an astonishing achievement when you consider that it was Cassey's first year of car racing as well as only being 14 at the season's start, so giving away years of experience to her competition.
Cassey says, "At this time of the year during the off season I'm enjoying being a female driver and receiving awards like this, however once the season starts I am purely a racing driver and there is only one trophy I want and that's for 1st overall."
Cassey would like to give a huge thank you to all the staff at Achille Group Hair Salon, Cassey said, "I was looking forward to the awards evening but thanks to Achille Group they made it a fabulous day by really pampering me, and giving me a fabulous haircut ready to receive my award."

Cassey will start testing her Citroen Saxo VTR this week at Donington and Brands Hatch, before heading to Wales next week to shake down her new Junior Ginetta at Pembrey. "It seems like ages since I drove last so I am really looking forward to getting out in the Saxo", Cassey said, "but I am extremely excited about driving my Ginetta, it looked fabulous on the Dunlop Great and British stand at Autosport International but it's now time to make sure it goes as well as it looks."
