LNT Automotive Ginetta Championships Media Day

LNT Automotive will host a press, media and promotion day for both the Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship and the PlayStation GT Ginetta Junior Championship in a step to capitalise on their current drive to promote both Championships.

Following a successful launch of both series’ at Autosport International in January, Ginetta Cars have secured exclusive use of the Silverstone National Circuit in preparation for the 2007 Championships on Tuesday 3rd April.

“This is an important day for both series” says LNT Automotive Managing Director Richard Dean. “Press and sponsors get their first look at the 2007 field before the first race, which is essential for promotion and also provides another testing opportunity. It’s something never been done by manufacturers organising championships at this level.”

In addition to driver and team promotional activities, some pre-season tasks will be administered such as the distribution of the new 2007 decal packs.

Specifically, the day will include:

Media Photographs (Car and Driver)
Driver Profiling
Team Profiling
Application of Championship decals
Distribution of championship clothing and mandatory race suit patch (Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship contenders only)
Mandatory ECU remapping for all cars to accommodate the 2007 updates
Provisional scrutineering

Exclusive to the Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship:
First opportunity to use Texaco controlled fuel
Distribution of the Texaco complimentary lubricants pack (for those who have registered with BARC and Ginetta Cars Ltd by April 1st)

The circuit will be open all day for use as an official test where we hope to have official timing by MST.

Playstation GT Ginetta Junior Championship entrants will receive at least 2 hours on circuit with an hour in the morning and a further hour in the afternoon. The rest of the circuit time will be allocated to Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship drivers for use as official testing.

“Ginetta are proud to offer this day and we are expecting a large turnout,” said Ginetta Motorsport Co-ordinator Jamie Robinson. “What better way for our drivers to promote themselves and get a feel for the championship ahead whilst for us a chance to ensure that everything is in order for what is promised to be another great year of Ginetta Motorsport.”

Entry forms are downloadable here. Prices are £250 + VAT for Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship runners and £150 + VAT for PlayStation Ginetta Junior Championship contenders.

The price includes garage allocation and light refreshments
